I had a fantastic 5-night stay with my family at this wonderful resort! The beautiful beach and pool area were incredible, and the food selection was varied and tasty, especially the à la carte dining options. However, I was disappointed by the rocky beach, which felt different from what I expected in the photos. I'd definitely consider returning for another fun family vacation!

The stay at Barcelo was mostly pleasant, but the

initial confusion with our room assignment dampened the experience. After sorting it out, the beach area was lovely and perfect for lounging, but I was disappointed with the vegetarian meal mishap at dinner.

Just a top selection for a cursory stop in Xpu Ha with exceptional value. Beach access was nice but crowded, making it tough to find a spot. Be ready to book restaurants way in advance to avoid waiting for meals.

Had an amazing time with friends! We loved the beautiful beach and enjoyed thrilling activities at the Dressel Divers Club, including snorkeling and jet skiing. The resort offered a laid-back vibe, which was perfect for hanging out together. The new miniature golf course was a fun bonus too.

However, the service at the front desk was really slow, which was frustrating when we needed assistance.

The best was the gorgeous beach! 🌊 Perfect for lounging all day! But it was frustrating getting dinner reservations. everything was booked! Next time, I'll plan to reserve right at check-in!

Recommend it for someone wanting decent beach time

I had an unforgettable time snorkeling with my daughter every day. Plus, we never struggled to find a spot to chill at the beach thanks to the abundance of loungers available.

It wasn't cheap but still acceptable for what we experienced.

Nice stay but food issues

Had a decent 9-night getaway here. The beach area was lit, and the pools were super fun! Tried the Mexican restaurant, but my veggie dish had meat, and that messed me up for the night. Service was pretty good, though.

I had a wonderful stay at this relaxing resort where the beach was stunning and perfect for lounging. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. special mention to the friendly service at the buffet and the accommodating restaurant reservations. However, the food at the buffet could be improved, as some options were underwhelming.

the barcelo had a beautiful beach area that was perfect for lounging. the pools and water park were fun additions, especially for families. i loved the delicious food at the mexican restaurant and the amazing strawberry ice cream served by the friendly staff.

the only downside was that the signage around the resort could really use some improvement.

Relaxing Time with Amazing Service

Our group had a fantastic experience at this resort. The beach was stunning, and the staff, especially Marcela at the bar, kept our drinks flowing with a smile! Don’t miss the Mexican restaurant, where Salvador provided excellent service. Book your dinners early to avoid late reservations!

Started strong with some epic smoked salmon and a decent Mexican joint off the lobby that had killer service. The beautiful beach area made lounging around quite delightful, and the pool setup was pretty nice too!

The staff weren't keen on sorting things out either, leaving me quite bummed about the experience.
